Very nice place, first time there was for a chess match in one of the side rooms.
Spacious bar/lounge area with reasonably priced drinks - £3.80 for pint of beer is ok.
Outdoor area (for when we get some summer LOL) with tables and chairs next to the bowling green.

Disappointed with the Nalgo not for the first time. I have been a member 4 years now and yesterday will be the last time I visit. The owner once again was not welcoming, would go far to say quite rude to myself and my 12 year old daughter. I get it’s a members place and customers will be challenged for their members cars but surely this can be done in a nice, hospitable way considering this is what the club is a place of hospitality? Being moved from a table that had no sign of being reserved we did without fuss. I never had my card but I know my details could have been checked on the books as has happened with many other members that I have witnessed. We then heard the owner bad mouth us to other customers who were clearly in her group of friends for sitting where we were - another table that was non reserved and had no occupants there. The chip buttys at half time were purposely not placed on our table but were on many others. All this whilst I spend over £60 on drink and snacks and caused no bother as usual as we tried to enjoy the match. Totally unwelcome is how we felt and although we live locally and the Nalgo in the past has been an ideal place to go with my daughter due to her enjoying the grounds to play football etc, we won’t be going again and I suspect Pip won’t care at all but I can’t justify spending more money there regardless of the fact we have been members through me coaching for Up and Comers for over 4 years now meaning a perk is we get free membership.
Just a nicer approach instead of abrupt and I would have kindly given my details and explained why I never had my card on this occasion.
Wish we would have left now and enjoyed the game elsewhere but I know the Nalgo has always been a safe place to watch the match with children.
Shame but life is too short to be approached the way we did and made to feel the way we did for a few hours afterwards.

Only visited as my granddaughter had a football trial. Trial was well organised. Grounds looked well cared for. Building work going on at entrance. Parking was very full due to lots going on at the club that day.
