On 19.02.2025, my 94 year old Dad had a bad fall resulting in bruising/bleeding to his hands and head plus a sore chest. I took him to A&E where we were seen quickly by two nurses, followed by bloods being taken, an ECG, a CT scan of his head, an X-ray of his chest and two consultations with a Doctor (before and after tests). I was given a wheelchair to get Dad around the hospital, but also had assistance with this too.

We were both amazed and delighted by the professionalism of all the staff we met, the good humour and kindness. Our visit was probably around 3.5 to 4 hours in total and, during this time, there was a constant stream of patients to A&E and everybody was treated with respect and dignity.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Scunthorpe General Hospital and its staff for treating my Dad so well. Much appreciated and bravo!

Floor C Blue sky imaging suite most staff are racist. Sat and Waited over an hour while they humbly let the white folks in whos appointment time were after mines yet kindly showing them where to go. Zero stars! Reported this ward to ICB.

4 stars for all the other wards and other staff keep up the good work.

I have recently broken my ankle whilst at work in northern Ireland , I live near Scunthorpe & the after care I have received has been second to none , I’ve been using the transport service as I can’t drive and the staff have all been fantastic, never knock the NHS, they are all diamonds ❤️

“Jenny” the receptionist is completely unhinged, and unfit to be working here. I and several other people who had initially passive aggressive rude checkins with her then witnessed her screaming at people who couldn’t hear their names being called in an overcrowded waiting room, she also yelled at a homeless man outside for going out to check on his dog.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! if I could minus I would! My Niece attended here after fair crawling there with stomach pains & nearly passing out & had to be helped by a wonderful stranger to be kept 5 hrs waiting, told it was just a painful period & take some paracetamol & told to leave. This is not factual whatsoever! It's not the dark ages! Listen up ladies, periods or not, it is NEVER NORMAL OR OK to be doubled over in pain to the point of passing out. That is not a normal period or anything normal.
