A great Sea Cadets unit offering opportunities for youth and adults alike. Juniors can start from as young as 9, with seniors 11-18 and Royal Marine cadets from 13-18. Adults can learn new skills and utilise their experience through volunteering in a range of roles to suit, ranging from occasionally helping out to teaching Nationally Recognised qualifications.

It's not all theory, and Trafford Sea Cadets are regularly out on the canal or further afield with a range of boating activities. The Marine cadets regularly get to put their field skills into practice.

Cadets can gain valuable life skills as well as Nationally recognised Qualifications in areas such as boating, DofE, BTEC, engineering, First Aid

Sea cadets is a great place to learn new skills (Morse code, Phonetic alphabet, knots and much more!) It's a fantastic way to make new friends and try once in a lifetime activity. You can sighn up for many waterbased activities like rowing and paddleboarding. You will also be able to learn how to cook. Overall this is a fun place fir your kids to learn skills wich they can use in the future!

Altrincham and Sale Sea Cadet Corps is the best Sea Cadet Unit in the Corps, its Staff are well disciplined but fair. At Stand Easy(break time) there is a Large variety of Confectionery Items Cadets can Purchase. The Activities that Cadets undergo are interesting and Exciting, there is plenty of opportunity for Cadets to get on the water with enough vessels for up-to 40 cadets at any one time, I recommend this place for anybody aged between 10-18. also there is a Royal Marines Cadet detachment for those who prefer PT, Map Reading, Field Craft, and much more field work.

Been at the unit for just over 2 years as an instructor - amazing place for cadets and volunteers. Close group of volunteers who are willing to help eachother out.
Amazing opportunities and the experiences are unless. Couldnt think of a better place to volunteer.
Awesome to have the canel by the side of the unit so the cadets get exposure to alot of time boating.

Having been a Cadet here myself and seeing how hard the staff work to inspire the next generation to realise their full potential, while creating a fun and positive learning environment. I don't believe any other organisation comes close. The impact Trafford Sea Cadets makes on it's cadets is nothing sort of amazing.

Both my boys attend here, one is in the marines and the other is in sea cadets. They love being here, interacting, making friends and learning different life skills
