Fabulous local angling club with several well maintained prime stretches of the River Severn and a well stocked mixed fishery pool. Very well run and friendly members who will give good advise on locations, baits, techniques etc. Exceptional value at only £30 a season, well worth joining

I have been a member of numerous fishing club's over a period of 50 years of fishing....I spent a year in Shropshire last year and had the opportunity to join SAC ... I joined in the closed season and attended a work party at Preston boats and met some of the members and straight away we all got on we all got stuck in and did the planned work...the lads were so friendly and helpful explaining the swims and best tactics... The club is very well run and extremely well organized with numerous work parties, away day fishing trips and a very informative web site . I have told the club and members it is the best fishing club I have ever been in it has some of the best stretches of the Severn the most helpful members. I live 206 miles away from Shrewsbury but cannot wait for the season to start and start planning my visits to the amazing SAC waters...

A truly welcoming group of like minded Anglers. A club run by Anglers with no silly rules. Lots of stretches of river to fish, for all species, at a fantastic price. I only joined this year, but was made to feel at home from the first day.

Hi All, Since this Club first started it as just been getting bigger in size and its a great club run by members, and not the committee that help to run it. So if you need a great club to join in whit come along and join because the members will help and try to help whit what needs doing.

Simply the best angling club in Shrewsbury.
Run by anglers for anglers and always contactable.
Over 7kms of prime River Severn Barbel fishing and a lovely mixed fishery pool.
The committee work hard with social events on and off the bank, big discounts negotiated with a major bait supplier and recognised by both EA and AT as a model club.
SAC also have a water sharing agreement with PDAA which means excellent stretches of the Nene and pools are available.
SAC lead and others copy.

Having only joined the SAC this year and have not fished as yet close season and C19.
I still feel I am part of a fantastic club, with the banter on the Facebook members page SAC is a credit to its management and members 🎣
