Posting here as a last resort because I’ve already called numerous times, filled out the contact us form and emailed at [email protected].
No one is getting back to me!

I’m so disappointed because I’ve always chosen to donate via SKT after having done charity work with them myself.

However, I’m still waiting for my 4 date tins that I ordered on 30th January and paid the additional £5 delivery fee. Ramadan is fast approaching and I really need them before the blessed month starts.
Please please can someone help?

SKT WELFARE POOR SERVICE
The date tins from SKT are beautiful, but their customer service is an absolute disaster. I placed an order for 19 tins of dates on January 7, 2025, expecting delivery in early February. After multiple follow-ups and conflicting responses, I was eventually told my order couldn’t be fulfilled due to high demand and that I would receive a full refund.

Trusting this, I purchased dates locally instead—only to receive my order three days before Ramadan with no refund issued. SKT ignored my requests to return or collect the order, leaving me stuck with 19 tins I no longer needed. I managed to resell them and suffered a small financial loss, but this experience has completely shattered my trust in their service.

I would avoid ordering dates for charity from this organisation. I Ordered dates in Jan 25, it's now 3 days before Ramadhan and no sign of them, I have messaged and called and no response. I am not sure they are still in business. Please double check before you donate to satisfy yourself your money is being used for it's intended purpose.

These guys scam your money. I have just lodged a complaint to the charity commission. I ordered a number of dates for Gaza this year and was told delivery will be within 5 days of the 5th February 2025. Still nothing. Chased it up and was told guaranteed by the 12th. Still nothing. It’s the 25th and still nothing. It’s alarming that this charity organisation are using the name of Gaza to con hard working people out of their money. Very difficult to get a refund. These people need closing down, they using the banner of religion to feed their own pockets. They use the images of victims to make hard working people their own victims. Have really messed me about and have really made me out of pocket. I normally use one nation for the dates project but they had a rule that 1 tin of Gaza per customer only so used SKT. But never again!!! Avoid and use someone more reliable. This review is genuine and I’m not the only one complaining about being scammed. Read other reviews. I wish I had!

Terrible.. been purchasing dates for some time now from SKT. However they are useless, pre ordered dates to get them nice and early, email stated deliveries will take place 5 working days later. I patiently waited a month, still nothing so I emailed and got told I’ll get a dispatch email within 2 days, nothing happened I called, got false hopes and that Marcus will call me but never did.. I called again as he never called and same thing was said, no one else can do a refund only him & they take 5% and it is at their discretion if they’ll cancel lol. A charity? More like a hoax, save your money and buy locally. A dozen shops, friends and family members had their parcels delivered before me and none not even one pre ordered.

Not happy at all!
I know it’s not advisors fault but they need to think about what works!
Ordered 2 boxes 1 was to be delivered by volunteer to my mum which after 2 weeks I had to ring and get a refund because there was no sign of it and people kept making false promises and giving me a delivery date.
The second box I paid for delivery and a personalised message this order was placed 11/3/24 and it’s now 28/3/24 I have already rang twice and been told it’s been dispatched but unable to provide me with a tracking number. Been going in circles. I would suggest you help this charity but in other ways by just donating money, if you order dates do collection because that works fine got two boxes at a collection point which went smoothly!!

If you want dates this Ramadan don’t order then through here unless it’s collection.

Aslamlaikum, I was here today to support the charity "Date Project", (collection). Just to say I was served efficiently by polite & professional young lady and young gentleman. I would recommend SKT, as a charity they seem to be well organised and well versed in public dealing.
Keep up the good work SKT Dewsbury.
