I have visited Solace in Devon twice this year, and each time I am amazed at how far it has grown. Even in it's infancy, a short break here rewards you with fresh air, imagination, and a well needed recharge of everyone's batteries.

The range of activities that are offered are amazing, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next 12 months.

Easy location to get to. A place to relax and unwind. Plenty of open space to walk and enjoy the beautiful grounds. Dog friendly with the resident dog Odin very dog and people friendly. The owner Jo is a lovely friendly lady nothing is to much trouble she's a lovely lady with a big heart. I would highly recommend a visit.

Little slice of paradise - if you look up the definition of solace in a dictionary it’ll state something along the lines of “give comfort or consolation to” - you don’t have to need cheering up to be here, but if you did, it’s a great place to start.

The beauty of Solace isn’t just in its surroundings but it’s ever developing nature, not content to just be as it is, I think the people behind Solace have an ever expanding vision which you should find appeals to you if you give it a try!

My daughters and I spent a wonderful week at Solace in Devon over the Summer. We enjoyed being able to meet other families from various backgrounds and felt included at every moment. When we were there, numerous facilities were being developed, so while we may not have been able to enjoy them fully, the potential is huge.
The location is beautiful, with many family orientated days out in the vicinity. Even a walk through Okehampton proved a lovely few hours for us.
Jo, Matt and Odin were the most wonderful hosts, patient with my children and supportive to me.
We can't wait to go again. The only downside is that it is so far away from.us, or we'd be there all the time!!

A little slice of paradise! Ideally located by the A30 it's easy to access and the little bit of road noise in the distance once you're there provides the perfect amount of white noise to help relax. Plenty of birds chattering away, a bird of prey and some stunning views provide a great backdrop to an incredible place.
I escaped in the summer, frazzled, exhausted, quite broken and in need of something I couldn't put into words. I was on my own, the kids were at home with my husband and I just needed to be. I didn't intend to find solace at Solace but that's exactly what happened.
Sitting up late watching the sky, experiencing the Aurora in a local dark-spot, sitting round a fire pit and throwing myself into activities was perfect.
I didn't need to watch the kids, I didn't need to be hypervigilant in my sleeping incase they woke and needed me, I didnt need to be mum, I got to be me. I sunk my feet in the grass, cuddled Odin the wonderdog (he's great company and fab listener). I found myself missing the kids and dreaming of summer 2025 when I could bring them to jump in the wild pond (or zipline) and spend time relaxing knowing the kids are safe and entertained by the most amazing people. The facilities are great and I honestly can't wait to go and stay again. I'd thoroughly recommend Solace in Devon for families and individuals who just want to take a pause, step back to nature and nurture themselves and those around them.
I can't wait to see how Solace evolves and I have no doubt that countless frazzled families and parents in need of a decent break even when they can't leave the kids, will make the most amazing memories here. I left Solace in Devon with a soothed soul, a full cup and excitement for the future, something I hadn't felt for a long time.
