Refused access when attending an event here. Staff rude, obstructive, petty. Would not open the toilets for over 100 people, including disabled and children.
Would not recommend putting any money through this business. Not at all ‘social’ and obstructive to sports!

Went today with my family for the first time, it was a celebration of the life of our family member and we wanted to go to a place that he enjoyed (he was a member here). The place is lovely, the bar staff were nice. However, we have never been treated so poorly when visiting an establishment by one person. It is members only which is fine, we attended with a member as guests and we were informed that we needed to ‘sign in’ and have a slip to prove this. That was fine too, we all did that. You would think that would be the end of it. However, one of the staff (I’m not sure if she was the owner) repeatedly questioned us, approached us over and over when we were having a quiet drink and trying to enjoy ourselves and wanted us all to show the slips.. repeatedly, four, five, six PLUS times! Every time any of the group tried to go to the bar, even when we just tried to go to the toilet! Basically every time we all moved. Not only this, but she was absolutely rude and confrontational each time. One of our group tried to use the fruit machine, he put £20 in and was informed that only members can use the fruit machine. Again, ok fine. He then quite rightly got the ticket and wanted that £20 back that he had just put in as he was unable to play. Only to be told that they would not cash it. She downright refused to return the £20 back to him, but also refused to let him play the fruit machine, essentially stealing that money from him. It was a horrible experience and we will not be returning. A real shame.

From the minute I entered the bar I was told to register as a non member n keep hold of the slip otherwise I wouldn't get served. The lady in charge then persisted to ask our group 2 more times to see all our slips again. Two women went to the toilet n when passing this lady was again told you must have the slip for the bar. They were going to the toilet.
I have never felt so unwelcome and harassed by this lady. Even the members in our group said she was vile and wouldn't be returning.
The gardens and play area were good for children but this jobsworth was such a bad advertisement for the club. I will never return or spend any money at this place.

Fabulous place for families to get together & let kid's do what they're supposed to be doing.
Having fun outside instead of latched on a computer.
Fabulous value for money also.

Terrible place, treats people with no care, even making blue badge holders move cars. Would give them 0 stars if I could, will never return.

Members only spcial club with bowls green. Excellent choice of Ales Ciders and Lager.

An excellent seating area outside too.

Went one Thursday in july and it was very busy with all age groups accounted for.

Worth a visit if you can go with a member as a guest.

You could then enquire about possible membership.

The most officious unhelpful steward I have ever encountered. This club is unwelcoming. Avoid.
