Re paying for service charge.
The letter I got made me feel ill.
If Southern housing has over spent , they need to reclaim it back from the contractors they send to repair their properties, as they are not doing decent job, after reporting leaking roof, contractors came out. Then I saw scaffolding go up, few weeks later, scaffolding came down. Guess what, roof is still leaking. Now that is why they are over spent.

Southern Housing really knows how to test your patience! For nearly 5 months, I’ve been subjected to the constant beeping of a smoke alarm in the empty flat next to mine. Despite the flat being unoccupied, the alarm goes off every minute, day and night. I’ve called Southern Housing multiple times and submitted online requests, yet nothing has been done.

It’s truly impressive how an empty flat can cause so much stress for the neighbors while Southern Housing remains silent. If you’re considering their services, just be aware that it might take months to resolve even the simplest of issues, and your well-being probably won’t be on their list of priorities.

Thanks for the endless beeping—just the soundtrack I needed!

Appearing to be supportive (especially judging by the website) however if you happened to have an issue you have no control over they will be absolutely ignoring facts. When sending contractors for repairs they don't deal with the full problem and say they will report it and someone will be sent however that never happens. Also claimed to have spent half a million pounds on the building last year which we'll have to repay in service charges. Whatever that amount was spent on is pretty much invisible as nothing much has changed. There is a button to open the main door that has been missing for about that amount of time.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SOUTHERN HOUSING! Greenside development in SW London was promised to be ready September 2023. After one year of delays, they pushed again to March 2025. There are lots of promises and lies and the only answers are; "I am sorry to hear that" and "you should seek your solicitor."

In the 19 months I've been living here my rent and service charge has gone up by 20%. I've had a leaky roof that I reported over a year ago that still hasn't been fixed, despite me chasing it up numerous times and my walls and ceiling being completely ruined. If I could give half a star I would

My daughter and 2 granddaughters have had no hot water since June 2024 and now the boiler is leaking. My daughter suffers with chronic asthma and my older granddaughter has narcolepsy and unable to share a bedroom with her little sister aged 4 so my daughter has to sleep on the sofa. SHG don't think this is an emergency. They are the worse landlords I have evert known

Have to post - customer service repairs and price management on shared ownership so below standard it hurts. Lift breaks - expect an 8 week ish timeframe for it to be looked at / possibly fixed - and yet it’s still included in your service charge. No security yet it’s included in your service charge .. the list really is endless

Absolutely dreadful service. They literally don't care about people's health. As long as they get their rent money nothing else concerns them. Literally a crooked organisation. I would highly advice to anyone reading this stay away from them. Protect you and your families health. Avoid being mistreated. Their rules and procedures isn't up to par and they can't justify their actions. Heartless people do literally nothing to better people's living space. Avoid at all costs.
