Splashdown - Poole

Recently went to the Splashdown Poole and it is a fantastic waterpark, which has a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions. It’s perfect for families, with thrill slides like The Screamer and more relaxed options like the Red River Roller.

The park is generally clean but can get busy, especially on weekends and holidays. Lockers are available. they just need a pound coin to use it, and staff are quite friendly. Note that some rides have height restrictions and the children area is closed for refurbishment, so younger children may have limited options, though there are plenty of family-friendly rides.

This is a great place for older children. It was a very wet half term Tuesday when we visited and we were on holiday and needed something fun for our two children (13 & 10) to do.
We decided to book this and it was great 👍🏼
We booked the 3hr slot which gave us time to do every ride and then repeat our favourites.
My son said it was the best day ever and they both had the biggest smiles on there faces for the whole visit!
We would definitely come again 😊

So the stars are for the fun factor ! The kids absolutely love this place and the adults alike.

There can be lengthy cues but it is kids holiday so to be expected.

It looks likes they are doing works in the changing area this does need work on as looks a mess.

The rest of the park is looking tired and could do with a fresh lick of paint and uplift.

Overall we will of course be back !

Won't not be going back again.

The price £44 for 2 people isn't an insignificant amount of money especially if you're travelling to get there For the that money I expect a decent experience and unfortunately we did not get that on this trip.

I Understand refurbishments take time but taking out nearly half the changing rooms and fully booking out the day is ridiculous. We were waiting 10-15 minutes just to get changed and especially seeing that the session is timed. I don't think this is very fair. The changing rooms were also disgusting. Dirty nappies,rubbish and food left on floors and benches inside the cubicles of which a number of them have broken locks so were unusable.

When we did get into the pool area it looked very untidy with multiple areas of dirt, grime and rust falling off bits of pipe from the wall.

In total we spent 2 hours in the pool as that's all we could stand. In total, we spent less than 15 minutes on actual rides and attractions the rest of the hour and 45 minutes was spent queueing for them. The pool was extremely busy and I think oversold. It's a shame as I think you could have an amazing time there but this visit has put me off.

Fantastic family day out during half term, disappointing there isn't wheelchair access to the larger slides so my Trudy had to sit out while we went sliding. Trudy enjoyed sampling the cakes and hot chocolate from the cafe. Water was a good temperature remember to slap on sunscreen on the outside slides.

Went with my family to Splashdown with 13 slides and 3 hours it was plenty of time to get all the slides in and had great fun doing it. If down Bournemouth area again I will definitely go again.

I hadn't been since I was a teen in the 90s! The kids despite it being at capacity during half term. Lost a star because the changing rooms are tired and dirty and there wasn't enough changing space for the number of people there. Also for any accompanying adults who have to pay to sit at the café...it was rammed and there was no way you could see anything. I would recommend not paying and going to the howling alley for a drink.

Splashdown nice waterpark little bit on midle size for UK bit older but was nice and clean during my visit plenty of parking and local restaurants off all the cairns. Personal polite and professional when you go there check the weather because some slides are located outside so could be a little bit chilly. Otherwise recommend best ride is Mississippi drifter must go.
