Hello there I am very disappointed now I have to look somewhere else to find something to do for myself don't you think that should have think before giving all for free no wonder the funds went this is all down to springboard it has let me down a lot I was expecting more things to do and to go on longer

My son started Springboard in September after expressing an interest in a more hands on vocation. He was predicted to gain his maths and English GCSEs from school but unfortunately, due to anxieties and medical problems caused by exams and the school setting, he didn’t achieve these as planned. He was worried that this would impact him moving forward. Since starting in September, he has not only gained a recognised qualification in his vocational area but he was able to take his English exam and pass! He is currently working towards his maths GCSE too.
His outlook on education has changed and he loves learning in an environment that is nurturing and holistic. He enjoyed it so much, his friend joined and they managed to secure £150! He gets an attendance allowance which is an incentive for him as most young people are money driven and enrichment activities to promote working with others. Springboard have managed to get most students out on work placement so they’re able to choose a career pathway which has been amazing.
Tutors are welcoming and knowledgable. They’re very proactive and encourage students to prepare for the world of work.
We couldn’t recommend a better environment for young people to access and learn in!

Sadly not a good experience at all. As a mature student I tried to complete my GCSE maths resit this November through Springboard and I was given incorrect information from the start. I was misinformed and passed about from staff member to another with no answers been confirmed since Initial contact in July.

The tutor who I was assigned to my caseload was pleasant enough but also had no answers ever to help me. The main issue was I was informed due to been a mature student I could resit the exams only which turned out that I needed to attended a certain percentage of the maths tutor course to complete... all explained at the last minute. I was also told from the start it was a free service due to my age and current qualifications and I didn’t need to complete a diagnostic maths test to qualify for exam resits. Again at the last minute (3 weeks before resits) I was told I did have to do the diagnostic exam in which I completed in a freezing store cupboard at the new ‘bridges shop‘ where I was told half way through the test that I actually could use a calculator when at the start i was told I couldn’t.

In the end I missed out on the opportunity to resit exams due to a combination of all these errors in communication... Springboard then even tried to charge me in the end for the service and ultimately their mistakes ☹️ Sadly wouldn’t recommend .
