Eight of my friends traveled together from London to attend tarawih prayers at one of the shortlisted mosques for our 2025 tarawih tours. The experience was filled with spiritual energy, especially during the imam's recitation in isha/witr and lecture, which were nothing short of captivating. However, the four tarawih imams left much to be desired. Their deliveries felt subdued and rather ordinary, lacking the passion that can truly elevate the experience of hearing the Quran.

What struck me as particularly unusual was the way the tarawih imams conducted themselves; they would emerge from behind the rows to lead their prayers and then promptly leave as soon as their parts were concluded. This disconnection felt somewhat disheartening.

The most surprising moment, however, came when I attempted to speak with the imam whose recitation and lecture (on battle of badr) had moved me deeply. After eagerly waiting to share my appreciation, I found him turning away to converse with someone he seemed to know. Despite my patience, it became painfully clear that he was unwilling to engage with me, and I ultimately decided it was best to walk away. It was a disheartening encounter, especially considering the lesson in Surah ‘Abasa, which he must read and know the tafsir very well.

Despite this, I must commend the mosque itself. It was stunningly beautiful and exceptionally well-managed, with a sound system that enhanced the recitation beautifully. The ambiance of the place was truly uplifting, making the experience memorable, even if marred by my disappointment with the interactions.

I grew up in this area, meaning I grew up going to this masjid. And Subhan’Allah, there is noor coming from this place and the people from this place! May Allah rewards those who gave us the opportunity to pray in this beautiful masjid! 🤲❤️

Masha Allah, the Sri Lankan Muslim Cultural Centre in Harrow Wealdstone is a wonderful mosque. It offers five daily prayers, as well as Jumma prayers. The mosque is run by a friendly and welcoming Sri Lankan community, Alhamdulillah. As a Sri Lankan, it's heartening to see so many fellow Sri Lankans during Jumma prayers, with large crowds gathering to pray together.

Parking can be a bit hectic during Jumma time, but Alhamdulillah, you can usually find a spot. During Ramadan, the mosque organizes Iftar, providing free meals, dates, and water for those who are fasting. The mosque is well-organized and truly a blessing for the community.

This mosque belongs to *all* Muslims, not a select few. I urge the administration to prioritize inclusivity, restore open access, implement fair parking policies, and hold elections to ensure diverse leadership. Until then, I cannot recommend this mosque as a welcoming space for the broader community.

This is a fantastic masjid with good space. They have very good facilities to keep any event. We have attended a few times here for many sorts of events. Mainly, for wedding ceremony, conferences etc. You could call then to book for any events.

The only downside is parking. It's a problem most of the places in London and these areas. Considering other places, they still accommodate many car in their parking at the side of the mosque and surrounding car parks for school for further regeneration.
