I had the misfortune to live 1 year of my life in talskiddy. Cornwall was the worst place I ever lived after California, France Spain, Switzerland and other places.
It's just a distant sombre memory now. Thank Christ I got out

Lovely, centre of town community centre. Opens again (hopefully) on Sept 14th 2020. Deep cleaned, freshly painted, refurbished floorings, and improved kitchen area. Good private car park, for event users/hirers only. Reasonable rates.

beautiful market town with a friendly community who look after the area well. would advice using the free car park at the top of the town (trekenning) and walking down as driving and parking in the town can be a hassle if you don't know it well due to the nature of its old, victorian streets

This is an old town with new estates being added recently. There are currently 4 pubs, all different, the Silver Ball has just been updated and great landlord and landlady. The Town and country cafe offer superb food, variety for vegan and vegetarian too. 😁 Boots chemist, co-op, charity shop, Chinese, 2 chip shops, pizza burgers and kebab shop,.
The Columba Centre offers a Well being day on Thursday, Intune choir on Tuesday evening and many exercise activities throughout the week.
The church is great, many friendships made by a brilliant Rector.
An eclectic mixture of people and talent.
Many historic buildings.
Playground for youngsters has got to be the best in Cornwall. Football for younger ages on a Saturday morning and main football usually kicks off off at 2.30 pm.
Please come to St. Columb Major and enjoy.

Interesting town with lots of history. Glebe House near the church is the oldest building and there are lots of others along the main street.
