I have been wanting to visit the inside of this church for years as I have close family ties to Atherstone and several generations have been Christened, Married and had their funerals held here. This is an old church that has grown over the years which is reflected in the different architectural styles you can see. There are a few information panels about the church and local history. What I especially found interesting and moving is the tribute to those locals who died in both world wars, as several featured are extended family members. What is unusual about this church is that there is no graveyard around it. Free entry but donations appreciated and needed as the church is in need of restoration.

A friendly church in the heart of the town. Services are held on Sunday at 10 :30.
There are also different groups run in the week and a cafe selling tea and cakes when the farmers market takes place.

Me and my family have moved to the area recently and we have attended St Mary’s for Sunday services. I can’t speak higher about the welcome we have received by everyone. We are new to attending church regularly and our faith but Rev Micheal has welcomed us with open arms. The services have been great, they have a live band play along to the hymns who are fantastic. I feel it’s only right to share my experiences so others who are interested in the Christian faith but don’t know where to start can feel the warmth I have.

A beautiful old church with a fascinating and rich history. They've done a great job creating engaging information boards describing the church and the surrounding area's history. The Sunday service was lovely too, very genuine and warm.

Large medieval church with beautiful stained glass. Good explanation boards. Henry Tudor may have prayed here before the Battle of Bosworth.
