We had great cup of tea and sandwiches, very affordable. But the best thing of all is that you are left in awe of the beauty of the building whilst drinking your tea in a wonderful relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. We (4 of us) went to Pizza Express, York. The service was extremely quick and all workers were helpful and kind, especially Alice. She was extremely helpful and professional and just all round nice to us all. The food was of an impeccable quality, and being able to watch them make it was an exquisite experience. Will definitely be coming here again!

Great place for my father to have lunch as part of a day out in York. I bring my disabled wheelchair using father here for lunch whenever we visit York. Two teas and two sandwiches cost just £8. Friendly atmosphere, everyone is happy to chat, place is spotlessly clean with large, spacious toilets. If you need a wheelchair ramp, go inside and ask, first.

This place is a haven away from the busy streets of York. We went in for refreshments after getting hot and overwhelmed, met some of the loveliest people on the planet and had some wonderful jelly and ice cream. It was peaceful with a lovely ambience, music on in the background, pretty flowers on the table and overall the exact place we needed to recharge. Thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome.
