Steel Bones has been a godsend to me. My rehab physios put me in touch with them after my bilateral below knee amputations. They were very supportive from the start with advice on what and how to claim and their emotional support but also, very importantly, with their gym sessions that they organise. These gym sessions, combined with my hospital physios, got me back on my (new) feet very quickly and normality returns albeit a new normality. They also organise regular meet ups where you can chat with fellow amputees and then you realise that you are not alone and you can learn so much from each other. An excellent organisation.

Steel Bones were an absolute lifeline to me & my family at such a scary & uncertain time. No query/problem too big or small. Just knowing someone has your back was crucial for me. Cannot praise them highly enough

st the start of journey. i received very little support from steel bones although did have regular meet up with them. at the weekend i was to hospital after losing the ability use my right arm, after having a stroke i informed them as i was meant to be at a gym session. while lying in a hospital bed. i received an email banning me from everything that is related to them and refused support. they asked for comuncaition via royal mail but due the stroke i am unable to write and they know this

Steels Bones are a truly wonderful and decided charity. Emma and Leigh, together with the trustees, work tirelessly to support amputees and their families. They fill a much needed gap in the sector. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic charity offering dedicated support to amputees and their families. They run a series of brilliant events such as celebration days which help connect amputees and their families. They have been brilliant in lockdown reaching out to families who would otherwise had no support.
