Visited on Sunday 15th December, arrived 5 minutes before shop opened, let in a minute early. Beautiful, festive displays with a few interactive features and live instrumental performances. Really nice Christmassy atmosphere and a good place to go for the whole family. The favourite part of my visit was the singing reindeer and miniature Christmas Village. ❤️ ?

Best Garden centre I've ever been to. They really look after their plants as well. I hate going somewhere & the plants look half dead but they're still dear. I've had a canny few from Strkes & they have all thrived because of the care they get in the early days. I don't mind paying a bit extra for that reason. (I've joined the club as well so more benefits.) I have to be careful because there is so much more & I have brought garden lights, bench cushion, shoes & more!! Everything is top quality. The cafe is expensive but worth the treat! I love it & highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

"Strikes Garden Centre at Christmas offers a wonderfully festive atmosphere, featuring high-quality seasonal decor and gifts. The expansive café provides a variety of delicious food, cakes, and beverages. While the garden center was a bit bare due to the season, a festive walk, like other garden centers offer, would enhance the overall experience." Highly recommended for a great afternoon or for a few hours with the family.

I question their Health and Safety!
We came in with our children to look at the Christmas decorations… which were very nice although a little pricey.
Afterward we went over to the pet section to get some of the pick and mix dog biscuits. The kids were excited and chose a few biscuits out the containers whilst I was looking for the cups to fill. As I couldn’t find them anywhere we put the biscuits back and went and found a member of staff.
They went to find some cups. When the member of staff came back they told us they were not for sale at the moment as the dog biscuits have been found to have ‘a worm infestation.’
We were just a bit shocked by this. When asked why they are still on display, easily accessible to anyone including children and no sign up, the response was that they had ‘previously had a bag over the display with a sign up but because a customer complained about the environment regarding the plastic bag we took it off.’
I’m sorry but I’m struggling to believe this.
After this experience and their lack of concern over health and safety I wouldn’t contemplate eating food from the cafe either.

Regular visitor to Strikes but this time the staff are very busy putting out the Christmas decorations. Already looks amazing. Good parking, worth a visit and an onsite cafe.

Very attentive staff in the Cafe. Good selection of food at affordable prices. Large seating area. I had the Ham and Piccalilli sandwich and the wife the tomato and pepper soup with croutons. Very tasty.

Having used this garden centre for some years I’ve finally given up on them.
The food hall is very pleasant but the food portions are shocking I know prices have gone up in all are food restaurants but really.
£10 for a small piece of quiche 8 chips in a basket half of tomato and a bit of lettuce.
I can only think due the the fact that the clientele
Is over 65 they don’t eat much.

in my opinion the Christmas display is nowhere near as good as Arcadia down the road. It's also more expensive, for example a Christmas decoration was 20% more than Arcadia about 3 miles away.

It's a nice modern garden centre and the outside section is good with lots of choice just disappointed the price variance of other local centres
