Great time watching Marsh Harriers, baby swans. Wonderful walks, helpful staff. Wonderful to be outdoors here. Plenty to see during this month, the walks were fine for walking, not too wet. Boats on the river, Bitterns can be heard. The hides are well kept and great for bird watching with a flask of tea. Great few hours here, well worth being an RSPB member

We spent most of a day here, doing the short family-friendly walk and then the longer walk, stopping at the hides. We didn't see a huge amount owing to the time of year. However the hides were in good condition. Would have been even better if it was a more interesting time of year! Parking is free for members, and there are toilet facilities on site. Would love to return some time.

A really lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon.

The wildlife is thriving, the variety of birds is vast.

Plenty of space for everyone, although it wasn't busy when we went.

Carpark is free, and with disabled spaces. The paths are not paved, so could be a challenge for some, and wheelchair users may not be able to go on the grassy paths.

The hides are all up steps, and one is called the "tower" hide for a reason.

The longer route takes you over the railway line ... Twice. The second time there is a style, so may not be suitable for everyone.

Plenty of places to take pictures. A bird lovers delight.

You do have to pay to enter, but the money goes to a good cause.

Worth a visit.

GORGEOUS nature walk. Thank you to Graham at the front reception area for helping us as we had never been here before. He was super helpful and answered all our queries. Really lovely quiet place to enjoy nature. The cows are my highlight!

I love this place, it's perfect to escape to and immerse yourself in nature, with well managed wetlands and wooded areas along with educational information for children. There is pond dipping for children and hides to immerse yourself into the wetland world and the staff are helpful and informative. On my last visit I entered thinking I would have a couple of hours wandering as I was so busy with work, but I just got so engrossed that I left after 5 hours, seeing a Kingfisher fishing, Heron fishing and 8 species of Butterflies, but not before enjoying a tub of Gooseberry ice cream.
I would definitely recommend it to any nature lover

I love it here. There are plenty of trails that offer views of the Broads and fen itself. A wide variety of birds, that will change depending on the time of year. Some of the birds I’ve spotted (in summer) include coots, herons, grey-headed gulls and mallards. However, there are many more if you get lucky. The hides are all roomy and enable you to see the wildlife going about their day. Plenty of good photo opportunities. A picnic area is on site, as well as a well-stocked cafe/shop. Ample parking on site. There are also toilets available. The staff are friendly and informative. If you enjoy spitting wildlife, or just enjoy a good walk in the country, you’ll enjoy Strumpshaw Fen, whatever time of the year you visit.

A fantastic little golden nugget. This RSPB reserve is tucked away in the pretty village of Strumpshaw but I can't recommend it enough. The staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable on what you might see on your visit. The paths are for the most part flat ( a little bumpy in places) and there are plenty of benches to stop and take in your surroundings.
Pond dipping is a must for the children.
Welly boots would be a must for wet weather.
