Park in the car park and have a good old tramp round this reserve, looking out for a variety of wildlife, from buzzards and shy oak planting jays to deer and butterflies if the weather is warm enough. No dogs allowed here. This week was quite wet underfoot - wellies or boots recommended

Just got home from a beautiful walk here. I really love this place and try to go often. It was peaceful and still but for the most delightful and varied bird song. We heard loads, couldn't see many. I recommend this place for reconnecting with nature. There's parking which is free, you can join Sussex Wildlife Trust if you want to contribute that way. It's a good idea!

Very nice nature reserve, with no dogs messing about and jumping on you... DOGS NOT ALLOWED 👍
Free parking and plenty of nice walks. If you happen to arrive on a not so busy day, there are lots of birds to look at, but of course children will spoil that if present.

This walk combines woods, a lake, ponds, a stream and views of the hills along with birds and wildlife. It is interesting in each season. The walks weave among trees which stand above snowdrops. bluebells in May and other wild flowers. Ducks, swans, fish in the lake. A variety of birds. Even came across a small deer in the tall grasses of summer. A gentle and short walk of less than an hour but a balm to the soul.

Woods Mill is amazing. We went there with it three young children and in just over an hour we saw Kestrels, Grass Snakes, Tad Poles, Swans (and baby swans), lots of birds, bugs, flowers and trees. Well worth the visit. We will be back!!

I've been coming here for over 40 years. Apologies for the piece of bread, the ducks loved it!
