I was a patient a year ago. Im 19 female and experienced a psychotic break. Staff are extremely rude and dissmissive. They insult and ignore the patients. No therapy is given. 1to1s are rare and brief, you have to beg for hours to talk to someone. Staff are always in the office and rarely interact with patients. It is an unsafe environment i have been assualted multiple times by older male patients.
When i was discharged, i was almost made homeless because they discharged me with no place to go. I made a complaint which was "lost" by PALS. My discharge letter made no sense and said nothing was wrong with me. They do not help anyone.
One woman was kept under section months after it was necessary for calling staff 'unhelpful' and made her mental health worse than before. healthy woman kept against her will

My son was taken to the service last week , apparently it was supposed to be a place of safety.
Staff were Terrible, no empty , or manners completely rude , smirking when he said he wanted to end his life ,
Being at Swallownest court made him worse not better

Why have CQC not visited since 2020 when it required improvement then. It needs closing down

The Doctors and Amp that did the mental health assessment wasn't much better

No after care or safety net was put in place - was just going to let him out alone when he was suicidal.

My son was completely let down and the lowesr point of his life.

This place needs closing down

Terrible staff , no help for anyone

A friend of mine went here, staff were rude to her, said that she showed no since signs of anything wrong with her even though that definitely wasn’t the case.

The consultant got bored during her 1-1 as she was crying her eyes out so went on his phone to text them ended the 1-1 as “they would be there all day” if he didn’t.

The consultant had a smirk on his face as he said that she didn’t need the service as she was fine, which if he spend more than 1 hour with her in the whole time she was there, he would know that is not the case.

How this service isn’t being looked into and closed down is beyond me!

I am a terminally ill cancer patient. My wife suffered a psychotic breakdown recently due to the stress and worry that my illness has understandably caused her. She is very small, plump, wears thick spectacles and is currently being forced to engage with other patients who are threatening and bullying her. She's not allowed to eat her meals in her room in peace, but must instead eat communally and suffer the intimidation of other patients who are allowed to pick on her with no intervention from staff. This is the "treatment" she is receiving. This is how they "help" people. She needs to be home with me, not left to be the object of ridicule for both patients and staff, who sit in a group laughing and joking together in their little office, while my harmless little girl is left to suffer in fear. This is how they "cure" patients. This is the twisted way they help people. A disgusting place and a sick regime. There is no help for the mentally ill in this hateful and worthless environment.

0 communication between employees. Doctor changes every week. They did nothing but keeping the patient alive.

This place is not fit for porpoise causing patients more added stress and asking patients who took overdoses of batteries if they would like a pick and mix of used batteries a lot of the staf spend there time doing crossword puzzles instead of helping patients and encouraging patients to get better a male member of staff even told me if I didn’t have a shower he would strip me down and he would hose me down with a hosepipe staff members should me be allowed to treat vunrable patients like this them to be bribed and bullied with nursing assistance to give you cigarettes hence it’s a no smoking hospital just let down totally with a system not fit for purpose CCG need to go in and investigate this place and keep checking cpn and support workers regularly because in my opinion they think this is a joke this is no joke when I here time and time again we are losing lives to suicide the saddest thing is people could have had there lives save with the proper support and help needed on been in a system not fit for purpose
