Beautiful walk down and across the ford when the tide is out. The cafe is now shut for renovations, but there should be a place to get beverages and ice creams etc

The Horn of Plenty is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The rooms and food are excellent. The staff are professional, friendly and nothing too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a bit of luxury in the countryside. My family and I stayed only one night I wished it had been longer.

Good trails for bikes , bit steep at times . Very pleased to find the entrance to the Tavistock canal tunnel on the route! Excellent cafe and cakes. The tree bridge climbing route looked fantastic. There are no specific mountain bike trails hence only 4 stars

This is in no sense a visitor centre but merely the reception area of the AONB offices. On my visit staff were apparently engaged in a meeting and made no effort to greet me or offer help (a simple "good morning, we're a bit tied up at the moment but do shout if you need anything," would have been fine). There were a few leaflets to peruse and a small number of books - one I might even have bought if anyone had been available to serve me - but not much else to see, so I left.
Luckily there are some interesting old mine workings outside, so the effort to find the place wasn't totally wasted.

Lovely place to visit with great veiws (Beware of dog mess tho). Staff was very helpful at the centre. However, no receptionist was there and had to wait for someone to spot us and help.

Beautiful place to visit, some amazing walks if you know where to find them. Down on the Tamar there is a large variety of bird life and the occasional deer. There is a butterfly conservation site in the woods down by luckett. Great pub at horsebridge within walking distance of many places
