I've been a member of Team Autism for just over a year, and it has changed my life for the better.

The monthly lunch clubs and occasional day trips have introduced me to many others who are in the same boat as me.

This group is amazing, found after searching for places after being diagnosed as an adult, everyone is friendly and it feels like you are actually listened to and can just relax and make friends.

The people who run this are fantastic and do lunch groups, days out and other things.

They have even put on educational meetings for individuals and family members which was very informative.

I'm thankful for Team Autism being around as there is no support in place to help me in general but having this here has been great as there is no expectations/pressure placed on you for attending every group meeting and you can set your own pace.

The staff team are incredibly caring and helpful with a great practical approach to the support you may require. I have observed the team be very attentive to each individuals requirements during group activities; making changes in a sensitive way.
They have listened emphatically and provide a 'human' touch - this certainly made me feel cared for and certainly valued as an autistic person in my hours of need- I haven't felt that from other services.
They are 100% the best that I have encountered in Cumbria!!
