I went here this morning to donate and the lady behind the counter was very rude and unhelpful. She was literally looking in the bags for the expensive items only. Took a coat that cost me £80 new and electric shaver and gave rest back to me.Said didn't want children's books because children didn't read and to throw them in the bin. Didn't want the nutbrown guess how much I love you bunny which cost me £20. Such a rude ungrateful person. I've only just raised and donated £170 worth of cat food to this charity but will not be doing anything in future after being spoken to like this. Another customer in the shop called her out for the way I was spoken to. Not once did she thank me.
I crossed the road and gave the rest to Acorns who were grateful for the items.

My experience here was fine, the staff pointed out that there was more rooms round the back which I had missed. Items reasonably priced too.

Worst experience I’ve just rang them asking of they're an animal rescue service and the lady on the phone was like yeah but in a rude tone. So i carried on telling her ive got 2 cats and 2 kittens and im tryina find them a new home due to moving and im not allowed animals in the property and she said “ We are full keep try to call other shelters every minute everyday “ in a really rude tone and i said okay thank you so much for ur help and she didnt even say nothing she just hanged up and im not gonna sit here and act like a “ Karen “ but if your working in an animal rescue facility or any charity facilities you should at least speak respectfully to the customers its ridiculous how some people have no manners.
Don’t call them or give yall money to this charity ‼️‼️‼️

I dropped quite a lot of items to this shop and I found some of the staff rude, one didn't even thank me and the other lady complained how many items I had taken to the shop as she was leaving a 2pm and didn't have chance to look through them. It was only because I was doing a house clearance other wise I'd have put everything back in my car. I've started to use other shops now 🙁

Although all the volunteers here do a wonderful job and the charity do help a lot of animals the manager of the shop is fully aware and supports the misuse of your money to pay relations of the manager of the charity a wage. This employee is also a trustee so potentially has a say in employing themselves and setting their own wage. People need to start asking questions at this shop.

My mum took some lovely Christmas decorations. The lady was rude asked if they worked, which they did. No thankyou. Wont be donating here again.

The staff are so rude in this shop. I will definitely not be returning. Maybe some training is required on how to talk to customers, from your other reviews it is desperately needed.
