Visited the beacon of light to watch grandsons football training. On First impression it’s a very smart clean facility. Cafe on ground floor is very good. Only downside for me was it was cold watching the football. Good job the coffee was hot in cafe

Great venue for football, netball and other sports. They have top class facilities that are well maintained. I uave hired the venue to host girls football tournaments and never had any issues.

They put on classes for all age groups that are well-priced for the quality training that is received. My 19 month year old has just started a little dribblers class and they are so friendly with him. He loved his first class and can't wait to go back.

They also reach out to the community and our school has taken part in numerous events, sporting tournaments, workshops and more that give our children experiences, inspire aspirations and even the chance to meet some of the Sunderland players. They give so much back to the community and they should be commended for it.

A great facility with dedicated staff. Spacious and with a large variety of facilities available including kitchens, sports hall, football pitches (indoor and out), cafe and learning spaces. All in the name of community good too

Beacon of light school bus parking illegally on the road in the Sunderland Aquatics centre car park when their own car park is 40 meters away. You can't just make your own spaces up. That's why there are official parking spots in the car park. Very lazy

Fab multi purpose events facility. Consistently great service and delivery. Onsite parking can be difficult if event clashes with a match day, but plenty of other parking further a field with a short walk.

Amazing building with an incredible amount of facilities for both education and sports inside. Definitely not to be judged by the appearance of a large grey box on the outside. Inside is light, airy and a very very pleasant place to be.

I volunteer here for kicks football sessions on Mondays and this is a very good place and environment for activities. All staff are lovely and it is always a clean place

Had our sons 8th party at the Beacon of light today and wanted to say a massive thank you to all involved in the organising . He really enjoyed it along with all his friends everything was great and a special mention to the party coach Kieren who was amazing keeping the kids entertained throughout the party, we will deffo be booking again in future.
