I contacted this charity seeking support in relation to a diagnosed neurological disorder (FND) and a claim for Personal Independence Payments.

Whilst I had to call the charity a few times to chase my position on the referral list, I was eventually put in touch with an exceptional Information and Advice Officer named Katie Price.

Katie is a fantastic communicator who showed a genuine level of empathy and concern for my needs. Katie has a calm and approachable manner. She really took the time to listen and understand my situation without judgement.

Katie was able to provide support on both a practical and emotional level. She did not hesitate to write a supportive letter, clearly articulating my health needs and how this affects me. I have no doubt that Katie's support played a critical role in the possitive outcome of my assessment. Our conversation made me feel better equipped to navigate a very stressful situation, that has caused me in the past, to feel depressed and burdened.

In regards to the service as a whole, The Brain Charity is pivotal in giving a voice to people with Neurological difficulties who often feel unheard, misunderstood and/or disbelieved. I wholeheartedly support the ethos of this charity and hope it continues to serve its targeted community in the most meaningful and positive way. To Katie Price and The Brain Charity "Thank You!"

Tried to get support from them on several occasions, each time support is offered and then never delivered. Calls not returned, information not sent. Not a great experience if you're struggling.

Edit: after the reply offering to look into this, I emailed over details and was told to expect a response within 15 working days. This has now passed and nobody has contacted me. Unbelievable.

second edit: now months later, still no resolution to the complaint, I have no idea what is going on here but it's not good.

I can highly recommend the Line Managers Neurodiversity Training offered by the Brain Charity. Our facilitator was outstanding, the content was very informative and delivered in a very engaging and compassionate manner, the team came away having learned so much and are far better equipped to support their direct reports as and when they may need to.

I had been trying to get disability benefits for 35 years. I have a rare hereditary neurological condition. Last year when I finally had my diagnosis in April I applied for PIP . They gave me zero on everything. But thanks to the Roxy she organised a solicitor to fight the decision. Suzanne has been amazing and worked very hard on my behalf. Yesterday Emma was with me as support from the Brain Charity .
The tribunal where very kind as I was very anxious. But having Emma by my side helped me. I am very happy to say that the tribunal awarded me enhanced for both parts of PIP.

I couldn't have finally got disability benefits without the Brain Charity. They are amazing and go above and beyond to help those of us who need there help.

I am now 65 and last year finally having my diagnosis has changed my life . I can't thank my neurologist at the Walton Centre enough. I am no longer weird but have HPX and in contact with others who has this rare hereditary neurological condition all over the world.

Never be frightened to ask the Brain Charity for help and support as they will not turn you away and do everything in there power to help .

I am thrilled to be able share my extraordinary experience with The Brain Charity, a remarkable organization that has provided me with unparalleled support and assistance.

As someone living with multiple sclerosis, my journey took an incredible turn when I had the privilege of working with a true gem, Mr. Mike Evans.

From the very first encounter, Mike exemplified kindness, consideration, and genuine care.

His polite demeanor and understanding nature immediately put me at ease. However it was his unwavering patience that truly made a lasting impression.

Mike took the time to listen to my story, to truly comprehend the challenges I faced, and to guide me through a complex appeal process with the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) department.

Thanks to The Brain Charity's unwavering commitment and Mike's exceptional guidance, my appeal was a resounding success.

I am beyond grateful to say that it resulted in a positive outcome, securing maximum payments for an astounding nine years.

This incredible victory has brought much-needed financial stability and peace of mind to my life.

The Brain Charity's impact goes far beyond their comprehensive knowledge and services.

It is a place where understanding meets expertise, and where compassion merges with professionalism.

The dedication they demonstrate towards individuals with neurological conditions is simply unmatched.

I cannot emphasize enough the difference The Brain Charity, through Mike's invaluable support, has made in my life.

Their ability to empower individuals like me and provide unwavering advocacy is truly extraordinary.

I am FOREVER indebted to this exceptional organization for their continuous commitment to improving the lives of those with neurological conditions.

To anyone seeking guidance, support, and a compassionate hand to hold during challenging times, I wholeheartedly recommend The Brain Charity.

They are a beacon of hope, transforming lives one story at a time.
