Undoubtedly the best show in Bristol. I‘ve been twice with changes in the performers but both times I found incredibly talented people, countless hilarious moments and songs so catchy you’ll find yourself singing them for weeks. Such good value for money and I can’t recommend enough. Thank you all so much for making such a great evening!

Lots of fun watching a monthly improvised ‘quiz show’. We enjoyed a drink at the bar before going into the theatre space. Bonkers and often brilliant. A few people were invited on stage but most people watched from the safety of the audience.

My favourite place in Bristol and I've lived here pretty much my whole life. The shows are hilarious, the classes are great and the monthly jam is so much fun. Everyone that works there is so nice and welcoming! If you haven't been, give it a go, they have loads going on. Bish Bash Bosh is a great show for a first timer!

The Bristol Improv Theatre is such a fantastic venue, offering both courses and performances in improvised comedy. Shows include its monthly its monthly flagships, such as The Bish Bash Bosh and This Is Your Musical, which are fantastically entertaining and easily accessible to those who haven't seen improvised comedy before - I can highly recommend. After watching shows there semi-regularly for 18 months, I bit the bullet and enrolled on 2 courses consecutively, which were hosted by welcoming instructors. I opted for the courses that did not involve a showcase performance at the end, despite being tempted, but really enjoyed them and made new friends off the back of them. Those hosting the shows are charming and friendly.

The Bristol Improv Theatre is a warm and welcoming place to visit, whether you're seeing a show or attending a workshop.

The Bish Bosh Bash: The Improvised Game Show is one of my favourite shows. It's a very easy format to enjoy. It sees two teams nominally competing with each other to see who's best at playing fun and silly games. The pace is quick, the editing slick, you'll have a lovely time.

If you're interested in learning how to improvise, the quality of the teaching is exemplary. I particularly enjoyed a workshop called Intro to Game of the Scene, led by Maria Peters, but all the classes are great. There's always a friendly, supportive vibe, helping you celebrate the choices you make.

If you don’t think improv is for you, think again! I’ve attended The Bristol Improv Theatre for shows and have now completed 5 classes - and would highly recommend both!
The classes are inclusive, fun and cater to all different improv abilities; from absolutely novices, to more practised performers.
The array of shows at the theatre is fantastic, there truly is a show for everyone! From This Is Your Musical - an improvised musical show, to Murder She Didn’t Write - a murder mystery all created from audience prompts; you’re sure to have a fun night out ☺️
