My oven stopped working right after it exited the warranty period. Called them and paid £125 they said they will send an engineer. One month later no one has showed up, and on the day of the appointment after i have taken the day off work the engineer said he didn’t come because I didn’t pick up the phone, when all he had to do was knock on the door. New appointment booked and now they want me to supply parking for their engineer? Incredible stuff ill be upgrading my appliances to a different manufacturer. Avoid these people

I submitted a repair requested for a faulty CDA dishwasher catch via online form 4th June 2024. 2 days later received an e-mail requesting the same information already provided on the form. The next day I decided to call CDA because 3 days after first reporting the fault I was no further on the getting the problem sorted.
When I spoke to a customer service agent, again I explained the problem that the dishwasher did not catch shut.
He charged me £125.00 for an engineer call out who arrived 6 days later (a total of 9 days without a dishwasher).
When the engineer arrived he knew exactly what the problem was and used a hook to release the catch in about 10 seconds.
I am disappointed with the service because:
i. It took 3 days to respond properly after the initial contact with the company and even this required me to make a follow up phone call.
ii. Bearing in mind the nature of the issue I had, CDA could have arranged for an engineer to contact me by phone or video call to release the catch myself. As I said, I believe the engineer that made the visit knew exactly what the issue was and it happens all the time, and that it is not a fault as such it's just the catch gets stuck occasionally. I would have happily paid a reasonable fee for this service.
iii. The engineer only gave date that he would turn up and only gave me a 3 hour window of when he would turn up the night before the visit.
iv. Before the engineer set up, I suggested I would nip to my office 50 yards away from the kitchen. At this point the engineer practically had a panic attack when explaining to me that he could not be left to work alone? Is this the same professional engineer I have just paid £125 to visit that needs babysitting when at work
I fed my feedback to CDA on their own customer feedback form but they were not interested in following that up.
In general a broken dishwasher is a first world problem, not the end of the world, just a bit inconvenient. However, from a customer point of view my experience with CDA has been poor. I believe the service is orientated around the convenience of CDA rather than the customer.

Wouldn’t even give them one star if I could!
Absolute appalling customer service from start to finish!
I bought an appliance a ( dishwasher) from this company when I had my new kitchen fitted with wren.
All Iv had is breakdown after breakdown with it!
Now the warranty’s run out I have to pay them £125 for someone to come out.
I said il get my own engineer, as the parts are still under warranty.
But I was told SORRY it does not work like that I have to use there engineer.
Bearing in mind this engineer is the same rude man, that I had to tell to leave my house because of his complete & utter rudeness towards me,
An also ruined my new flooring while working on the appliance.
And I’m suppose to allow this same man into my house
And pay for it
You couldn’t make it up!
Steer well clear of any appliance form them.
I think the reviews speak for themselves!!

Don’t buy the fridge and freezers, very poor quality, the plastic are very weak and crack. My frost free freezer is not frost free and they need to be defrosted. i had to throw away £300 of food as it iced up. Can’t wait to get rid of these.

Dangerous products and unbelievably bad customer service. We've had the FWC304BL wine cooler for 9 months. Stepped into the kitchen to see shattered glass everywhere. No response for days, just had to chase up and have been told glass isn't covered by warranty even though it's a faulty product. The call handler was rude, unapologetic and completely unhelpful. I expected the company to apologise for supplying such a dangerous product and I'm still in shock at their response. Avoid at all costs!

This is an update on my previous review
When our CDA engineer came to your property we are indeed very sorry that he caused damage to your unit door which required replacement. Various attempts have been made to try and secure a resolution to this and at this stage the matter is still unresolved. I know that the team have tried to secure correct measurements from you and have not been successful. I understand that arrangements have been made for you to secure a local joiner to attend to the repair and hopefully this will soon resolve this problem . It is very important to point out that initially the type of door is in fact a furniture door NOT a décor door and there is a difference in sizing. Please can I suggest that you ensure the joiner appointed is aware of this difference in the types of doors when he places the order. I would ask please for you to send me a quote for supplying and installing the replacement door.
What he doesn’t tell you here is that CDA sent a staff members partner who is a kitchen / bedroom fitter to measure and still the replacement doors were incorrectly sized as well as the wrong colour and style.
My dishwasher is again leaking so I can’t use it and even though it’s still under warranty I have no desire to have their engineers back in my house. If I had been aware of how bad this company was I would have just replaced my dishwasher in March 2020 when it first malfunctioned. Hindsight is a wonderful thing , I hope that this helps people going forward to make a more informed choice .

I did have a few bad experiences at the beginning but they have improved a lot since my low score last review a year ago.
They do reply reasonably quickly to my enquiries and get the items out quickly.
I don't understand why they don't send smaller spare parts out with Royal Mail?! As it would be £3.39 Small Parcel Tracked rather than the £6.59 DPD (Just for say something like a spare oven knob)

Have had an sc300ss oven for just over 2 years and it has failed. I’ve never had an oven fail at all in any property I’ve owned, over 35 years until this one. Bosch, Belling, Neff, all good. Not CDA. It would cost over £100 call-out for an engineer to look at it and that wouldn’t be for another week. Then there would be a further wait for parts IF it was repairable. Easier to buy a new oven from somewhere else. Won’t be buying CDA appliances again, that is for sure.
