This small pub has really turned it around. A few months ago I went in there and the food was inedible and the serving were very small. However I came here recently and it is quite honestly amazing. It is definitely not the food that you’d expect from any pub in Essex. They make awesome food and have a big menu with a new and very nice decoration and very kind staff. Additionally we went there multiple times and the food was constiently good with everything on the menu spot on. Would highly recommend this pub for everyone stopping by.

Have been coming here for some years we moved away for a while but now back in the area.
The food here is to die for the chef is so passionate about what he puts on the plate.
We like here so much that we decided to have our wedding reception here the staff decorated the whole pub for us and nothing was to much trouble we had over 40 to sit down for a wedding breakfast it was very cosy but everyone had a lovely meal and some have since come back for an evening meal on their own.
So glad this lovely little gem has not been taken over by a large chain and as long as people use it will remain a lovely place for food.
Please try it.
but ring first as if not busy they do close early.
