Drang House is in a great location, right in the middle of town on the harbour.||We had a great stay for 2 nights. It is an old building so expect the period features, which does include low beams in some places. The room was spacious but cosy and clean with plenty of storage. We also had a smart tv with all of the usual apps on it and a mini fridge.||The bed was a good size with comfortable pillows but was a bit on the firm side, we are used to softer mattresses.||Communications from the property were great and weโd definitely stay again.

Comfortable room to stay in.
However, we had difficulty with the old windows as they aren't soundproof and not shut properly. So being in the central city and having a great sleep while seagulls yelling and flying around the whole day and night is impossible
As well there are no blackout curtains and the shutters were broken as well.
Was sleepless for 2 nightsโฆ

It was a bad experience.
The linen was dirty, and when we complained about it, they changed it only reluctantly. A young mongrel, who showed us the room, was friendly at first, but later didn't even look at us, let alone say hi.
On the ground floor there's some dingy boozer.
The apartment was overpriced, and overall a deception.

very good location. thats the top positive for this place. The rooms were clean which is always good. but for this price you expect that. ||||we booked a room 'large double' that was described as "This double room has a dining area, sea view" but were checked into a small attic room, slightly larger than the bed with low beams (such as right above the loo for head cracking fun when standing) and no dining area at all. The view out of the window was the house across the street. The only way I had a sea view was when I opened the windows wide, leaned all the way out and looked over my left shoulder. Sea view was just a complete lie. The towels in the room were wet (hopefully from poor drying after laundering, not just being folder for reuse after the last guests). The hairdryer was literally half melted at the tip. ||||All in all, I liked the location. But found the description very misleading so the rating is only a 2 out of 5. the double/large double rooms are basically en suite attic bedsits cashing in on the padstein effect with some very misleading advertising. I would also avoid ordering at the bar downstairs - we waited 35 minutes for a G&T and a diet coke between 930pm and 10:05 pm on a sunday night.

We had a very pleasant one night stay. We didn't receive the apartment upgrade I have been reading about on here. However our Room was lovely, plenty big enough and charming. Very close to PW1, Bin Two and Ruby's Bar where we enjoyed drinks later on. Hamish & Tracy were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend

This is ok for a 'one nighter'. Fab location and very clean. We visited during off season and I thought it was very pricey for what we got and definitely wouldn't pay more if it is more expensive during the summer season. Most of my negatives below could be addressed to make it more value for money. Maybe update with more luxurious decor as very basic. The rooms are not as nice as they look in the pictures on the website.|| Positives |* very clean|* great location|* comfy bed|* large tv with netflix|* kettle with plenty of tea and coffee|* host very friendly, accommodating and helpful ||Negatives|* has had a lick of paint but tatty in places. Bedside tables marked, worn and need replacing, shower tray seal coming off etc, cracked floor tile, broken handle on the shower|* old, scratchy towels|* no hand towel to dry your hands|* only one loo roll so almost ran out|* two sets of stairs as rooms were in the loft space. One set of stairs very steep and narrow so wouldn't recommend if you have any disability or age related ailments (or heavy bags!)|* pricey for what you get|* no breakfast|* lighting awful! There is no light near the mirrors so you can't see to apply make up, do your hair etc.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Padstow, look no further than this place. Perfect location for harbour action, shirt walk to car parks, fantastic value for a great sized space. |The owner was great and super helpful handing us the key and communication throughout. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Fantastic. Thankyou.

Good location, cozy (old, but renewed) rooms and very nice people. Not expensive. Good pub/bar in 1. floor - run by the Drang house-family. Stayed 3rd July. You might have too climb some stairs to reach some of the rooms.
