The Elgar centre is ok if your keen to hold parties. One of the down sides was only being allowed entry an hour before the party to set things up. Also members of the public kept coming in to the building to use the toilet while we were trying to set things up so I would suggest making sure you have a couple of signs to say Private function/party, not open to the public. We ended up putting chairs in the open doorways to hopefully deter people.
There is plenty of space around to ensure no overcrowding but the main function space definitely does not have room for a 100 people.
All in all an ok space but doubt we would use again.

Great little centre and such nice surroundings with the carpark right outside. Free parking lot, plus additional free parking just down the road for the country park. Used the centre for baby yoga classes and the room was lovely, plus kitchen facilities seemed great and we'd always hang around for coffee afterwards.

Visited the cafe after parkrun and what a lovely facility, overlooking the park. Friendly and polite staff, delicious choice of cakes, & amazing hot chocolate. Lots of books in the corner to keep little ones entertained. Heartwarming community concept run by The Lewis Foundation where money raised helps support adult cancer patients. Definitely worth a visit.
