Just called in for a relaxed Sunday pint. This place never disappoints. Nice music, rooftop terrace and great choice of drinks. So happy that Halifax has such a good independent pub and bar scene.

A great bar. Good selection of beers, ciders,cocktails and mocktails. Then there's the upstairs bar and roof terrace. The bar has some interesting seating and decorations.

But the best bit is the downstairs performance room. It's great that places like this exist.

Always check what's on. There's a great selection of events and you'll probably find something you'll like.

A great new venue for ‘Fax, or rather more accurately, a great venue that has moved to much better premises, though I did love their old venue.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, a good beer selection, well priced. It’s a bar on the ground floor, music venue in the basemen. We saw the first band to play there, The Incident. Sound was good considering it was the first gig staged there.
They’re already booking some good acts. Highly recommended, I wish them luck!

Paulicarus found this fairly new venue that crams an awful lot in. The bar has a great selection of 5 real ales and 5 ciders. Upstairs is a smaller snug plus a surprisingky large outdoor roof terrace that seats about 50. Empty on a cold and wet June day. The standard toilets are here. The bar is also a live music venue with a basement room holding 120. There is an accesible toilet and a wheelchair lift down. The bar also holds various events such as creative writing. We had an excellent pint of Kirkstall bitter. Super addition close to the Piece Hall.

Favourite watering hole in Halifax, just moved to a larger location and still full of character and has the same warm welcoming feel and vibe of their previous smaller spot 😀 Great selection of beers on tap 👌🏼 🍺 Decor and friendly staff make this my first destination when in Halifax. Oh and they have live bands a plenty which I need to get myself too sharpish! 🎶🎸Fab area now for the bands to play, great work guys! 👏🏼

Truly, absolutely magnificent. In a town blessed with superb pubs, this venue took the drinking and general merriment to another level. I felt both exhilarated and tranquil at the same time, there.

Great venue for young up & coming bands. It's so valuable to see that the young music scene is alive and kicking in Halifax, and who knows what the future holds. I'm a tad over 60 yrs but a brilliant evening.
