Had a fantastic morning here Saturday, its an ellotment run by volunteers it is very big . It has a shop on sight where you need to bring your own containers from freezer bags to conditioner bottles to herb bottles . Much cheaper than you would spend in a normal shop. There is a cake stall selling tea and coffees they are vegan cakes but I would never of known if she had not told me. fruit and veg is of course is what is in season they have some on the table already taken from the land but you can pick your own.
I wanted some garlic and cooking apples for 4 heads of very large garlic they only charged me a pound and asked for a donation for the cooking apples had nearly a third of a bag full.
Will be back again soon think I am going to love this place .
It just of Lincoln Road past the traffic light first building on left it has its on car park.

Quite a sizeable area, devoted to 'green' growing and teaching. Run by volunteers for the general public.
Received a warm welcome and enjoyed helping out.
Volunteer day every month if you like gardening.

Lovely community run green space, great for kids (and adults!) to run around and learn about growing veg/living sustainably. There's a zero waste shop at the weekends too which is excellent, well worth a visit, bring your tuppaware

Well worth a visit... a tranquil part of town which has a place in my heart.. has regular fund raising events throughout the year and always lots to do from trying new foods, learn to play music, weaving lessons, allotment and area management, forums, discussion groups, coffee and tea bars.... meet artists and artisans... diggers and go doers
