We have visited here regularly over the last few years and it is without doubt the best. Each time we eat here it gets better, today was exceptional. 6 people and 6 clean plates, I had the lamb rump with hassleback potatoes, broccoli, carrot purée with jus. The lamb was like butter so soft and tender, seasoning was on point. Everyone else’s dinner was excellent

Really good welcome, friendly helpful staff.
The food was good and the atmosphere was nice.
The room was lovely but cold. The bathroom was a bit tired and a good deep clean on the floor, under pipes, behind radiators and new soap dispensers not leaking would go a long way.
Nothing really to complain about, just observations.
I like it here and would stay again

Visited on Boxing Day for a 3 course Christmas dinner. Food was good quality and very good sized portions, wasn't too happy with dessert options but the food I did eat were lovely. Good value for money.

We had a table reserved right by the fire, which was great upon arrival to warm up after being outside but not so great to be sat next too for the duration of our visit, perhaps would recommend there not being a table dining right next to the fire.

Great atmosphere, staff is absolutely amazing, so attentive and great attention to detail. Very family friendly, they have kids cutlery, a nice touch!!! Food was well cooked and portions generous. Highly recommend for a family meal out. Lovely village too.

We visited for a family Christmas/New Year lunch and had a lovely meal and dining experience. The staff were very helpful in advising us on menu choices and attentive. All the meals we had were without complaint and for the price, they were all very good value. The restaurant area is airy and well laid out with a lovely decor. Will certainly be recommending

Been here a few times with family & friends, the food has always been amazing with good portion sizes. However last night the food was exceptionally outstanding (see photos). Always receive a friendly welcome from staff. Highly recommended.

Always loved this place and it appears even better on my latest visit. Friendly staff and patrons, dog friendly, decent menu, cosy spaces. The list of positives is endless.
So worth a visit.
