Hello,I was a member many years ago,in the 1990's,your newsletter was a saviour for me, IBS is a depressing illness, who does one talk to, to compare notes and realise you are not alone,
I was going through some papers and came across,a 1993 copy,so I sat and read it,back when I first joined,I saw a penpal snippet,I decided to write to a lady called Kathleen, turned out both our husbands name was Bill,we both had 4 children, that was over 30 yrs ago,we have been great friends and still text each other every night,( she named us "BOWELS R US)" Myself and hubby a few years ago, went to uk(we live in Eire) visiting our son,I realised she only lived in kent, not far,so I rang and we paid a visit, had a great day,I just wanted to thank you,for all the years and hope for a few more( Im 84 now)yrs, your magazine brought us in touch ,she now feels like family, the younger sister I never had, all of you who run the group many many thanks you do sterling work

I can't confidently recommend anyone use this service if you are suffering with IBS on an intense level as the advise throughout is very generic in what it offers and accessible elsewhere.

In your desperation to get help, you might sign up for the £24, which whilst a small amount it simply doesn't deliver on value for money. What it did however was put me on a mailing list to push the sales of expensive pre/probiotics that I bought into, desperate for something to help, but this proved to be a very expensive investment with no change to my conditions.

Stick with your GP or other sources, especially if you're looking to see if your conditions aren't in fact IBS (Chrones/IBDs, ect).
