Sabina has provided the most amazing teaching for our daughter for both her GCSE and A Level German. For GCSEs the teaching was across all the language elements, whilst the A level support focussed on speaking and essay writing in support of our daughter’s traditional classroom education.

The one-to-one support Sabina provided always focused on getting the best from each session. The work between sessions was tailored to suit the learning needs, and goals and expectations were always clear. Feedback given was informative, clear, and concise with areas of improvement always highlighted. The successes our daughter was able to achieve is testament to Sabina’s skill and passion as an educator.

Any concerns we as parents had about on-line learning were quickly dispelled by the results we saw from the very first session. All sessions started and concluded on time, were conducted with utmost professionalism and the planning of sessions and administration of payment was flawless.

The legacy of the work our daughter has done with Sabina is longer lasting than just achieving grades. The time they spent together has developed a desire to achieve in our daughter. The engaging teaching she received has kindled a deeper interest in the language and the country such that she has joined the German society now she is at University (despite not studying German) and is organising a summer holiday in Germany next year.

Sabina teaches really well. She challenges and pushes me out of my comfort zone, and has helped me be on track for above my target grade (at German A-Level). She adapts the lesson to focus on my weaknesses and always asks me if I’m happy with what we’ve done/doing in each lesson, so it is never a waste of time. She even takes time outside of lessons to mark my work, and prepare tailored lesson materials. I would absolutely recommend Sabina as a language tutor!

Sabina has been absolutely amazing with my son, who was really struggling with GCSE German, in particular the Speaking and Listening components. We originally signed up for 4 lessons (part of a deal we made contingent on Year 10 results) - and after one lesson my son asked if he could continue till the mocks, then again through till the actual exam. A big problem for him was that he felt that in school he was being taught the language purely to pass the exam and importantly, he now has a much better feel for the language and far more confidence about speaking it - and I believe that has been all down to Sabina. She has also been lovely to work with - we have had dialogue all the way through on progress and what to focus on and she even went out of her way to accommodate one extra lesson right before the oral exam! Obviously we won't have results until August - but I would unreservedly recommend Sabina for support with German GCSEs!

Sabina has tutored my son Henry for his German GCSE and I have seen such a great improvement in his confidence, the fluency of his speaking and his use of grammar when writing. Henry has enjoyed the sessions, found them really useful and has never once complained about attending which is a bonus!
