A lovely hidden gem. My husband recently joined and we have both bought our own bowls to enjoy the game, lots of practice needed first! The members and their wives are all very welcoming, chatty and full of advice so all in all a very friendly and enjoyable club with nice beers. 👍🏻

I attended the Linden Club with some friends today. we live locally and it’s a beautiful place with such promise…..little did we know that as 3 women, we would be incredibly unwelcome and not allowed membership unless our husbands took us with them. Is this the 1950s?! How absolutely insanely backwards is this?! As a woman no man in there would look me in the eye and discuss this with me, rather they preferred to discuss this archaic view with my husband. My husband rightly challenged this view and we are now banned from the club as a result. This club has men only membership, but does allow women to attend to serve them and tend to their gardens, seems that’s all they think we’re good for. An incredibly disappointing experience. I’m not sure why we need to purposefully exclude anyone in this day and age. Very outdated and I hope people agree that it really isn’t such a welcome club that they claim on their website!

Tucked away, you wouldn't know it was there. Bowling green and snooker. Nice little club. Also cask ales available.

Great place to spend the evening playing snooker or in summer crown green bowls.
Good variety of beer--Wainwrights is my favourite and the prices are very reasonable.
Very friendly and easy going--join as soon as possible.
