My mum was moved to The Lindsay after a number of falls in her flat and a stay in hospital. She survived Covid here and lived here for over 5 years until her death aged 98.

Whenever my husband and I visited, we experienced a friendly welcome and there was excellent security both in and out of the building. A RN was on duty at all times and regular checks were made whilst respecting our valuable time visiting mum. The facilities and activities on offer were very good. The corridors are well lit and the garden is lovely for residents, family and friends to sit out in. The cafe offers a lovely break from a resident's room. The staff there were caring, personable, professional and took a real interest in mum's life stories. Hairdressing and laundry services were very good. She was ably supported emotionally, mentally and physically throughout her stay for which we are very appreciative.

The Lindsay however is not cheap and proved a huge drain on mum's financial resources during her time there. For the fees paid, we feel more staff should have been employed, as at times, the care home appeared understaffed of carers. Whilst accepting the challenges that Covid presented, we noticed a considerable turnover of staff, including several management changes. The recent renovations and upgrade of the garden in the summertime seemed unnecessary at that time of the year, as it deprived residents of valuable outdoor time in the good weather. The food, on the whole, was satisfactory.

Overall, we were more than satisfied with the care and attention that my mum received during her time here.

The EMA team were at this wonderful care home, where one of their residents was getting transferred from hospital, using our care home transport services. A big thank you to the staff who were great and what a lovely setting it is in.

I went today to the Lyndsay to visit my mum. They had a fete great singers lovely food the whole ambience of the place was really beautiful. I'd like to thank all the staff gorgeous grant especially John because he has allways walked another mile for my mum. All the staff were so good 👍. Now? Here's the big question? When can I move in!. What a lovely beautiful day was had by all. I didn't want to leave. Sending love and great big hugs

As an entertainer at The Lindsay, it is lovely to see how the staff engage with the residents, encouraging them to dance and sing along in a kind and friendly, proactive way. They also make me feel very welcome…as do the residents who seem to all get along in a wonderful community atmosphere.

This is such a lovely care home and it's all thanks to Grant and Sarah from the activities team. Grant and Sarah are so kind, patient and gentle with the residents. They treat the residents with respect and as if they were their own parents! I get the pleasure of visiting this care home every 2 months and it's always a highlight of my week. Thank you Lindsay Home staff for always being so welcoming and friendly. I never fail to leave with a smile on my face!

As a family we found it very difficult to come to terms with our father no longer being safe in his home, and due to family circumstances reluctantly we had no other option for him other than a care home. We were so extremely fortunate in finding The Lindsay and it has surpassed all our expectations at how well dad has transitioned moving there, so much so that he very much happily considers it his home now.
This successful transition has been totally due to the many kindnesses shown him (and us ) by all of the compassionate and conscientious staff who work there, and we as a family are so very grateful to them all in giving our dad back a quality of life which previously he had sadly been missing so much.

My husband spent the last 10 months of his life being cared for and loved by all the staff at The Lindsay from the housekeeping team to the Manager. He was contented that he was in the best place since I was no longer able to care for him adequately. When he died I was wrapped in the warm and caring atmosphere of the staff who were now my friends and it was so comforting to know I had a friendly ear to help me through. The Lindsay is an exceptional care home.

Every member of the team at The Lindsay goes above and beyond to provide first class care for all the residents and the Manager, Claudia, is exceptional in ensuring that this happens. It is a home from home, and when people refer to The Lindsay Family they are speaking from the heart. All the residents' needs are catered for, including the recent opening of the Bar so that the gentlemen - and some of the ladies - can get together for a pint and a good chat just as though they were still in their own homes. The beauty salon run by Julie and Jess makes all the ladies feel truly pampered and the activities and outings planned by Bianca ensure that no-one is excluded or gets a chance to feel bored. The menus are all carefully planned with a wide variety of choice and the quality of the meals is first-class. If I could give the home more than five stars I would!
