I always like a good real ale or craft bar esp with a good story behind it. I've tried both beers and wine. All fine a bit expensive, but I'm sure the prices will go up again. My only criticism is that the staff behind the bar dont interact with the customer!!

Always a great selection of ales and ciders, staff are always friendly, and there are a small selection of nibbles such as nuts and crisps. A great place to sit with a pint and watch the world go by. Also offers pastries and coffee.

The bartender was an absolute legend, and the brews on tap were varied, with more in the fridge to try. Great place to stop by, the 5.5m2 Sour is delicious with a full punchy flavour, and the dark chocolate stout doughnut was wonderfully bitter.

Great atmosphere in this place, with the bustling market around it. A strong selection of craft beers, yummy cakes and enthusiastic staff who made us feel very welcome. And it is all for a very worthy cause too. Top marks.

Pint of lager £5.40, not bad price and pint either for Oxford. Prime location in Covered Market. Small selection of pastries to be had. Wasnt busy when I was there but will go back again. Perfect for watching the world go by. Yet to be brave on their quiz night due to being a university city.

This is kind of a cool place. Just a small area in the market, but the taps are all from a brewery where the workers are prisoners or former prisoners. The beer is really good and the mission is cool. It provides work for a group where work is hard to find.

Amazing selection of beers to suit a range of tastes. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful at picking ones to try. Welcoming and friendly vibe. I've been a fan of the Botley taproom for many years and am so glad to see this social enterprise open a place in the city centre. Having the Tap in this location lifts the atmosphere in the covered market both during the day and the evening. It felt like a sort of transient place before where people would just drift through and do gift shopping, but now it's the sort of place where people can stop, sit, eat and chat with a drink or a coffee.
