Years ago it used to be called oasis.. and Peter was the manager there.. I was lost in addiction and in a very dark place.
15 years ago there wasn’t much help then or anyone or organizations weren’t trauma informed so I was let down by the system!! Peter saw the darkness in me and when I went in to then oasis crying for help Peter and Anita took me the next morning to a Christian rehab called Betel.. I stayed a year and when it was time for me to come out Peter came and got me.. the Journey has been very rocky since I have been in recovery but 14 years and I am still abstinent from substances..I am now involved with changing futures and using my lived experiences in helping others.. who the system let down.. BIG thanks to Peter and then oasis now Matthew Mission for giving me the step I needed to get clean and being there for me when there was absolutely no help out there except for you’s.. my mum volunteered there for a while Betty she used to be in the kitchen.. my mum passed away a few months ago.. but I know how proud she was that I was out of that dark place and she could be proud once again and she was forever thankful to Peter 🙏🏽

Amazing place to go and relax. Amazing people. They helped me get off the street and helped me get a place to live. Iv got a job and iv sorted myself out not only for myself and my children but to show respect and gratitude to such an amazing organisation. Thank you so much

I can give this place definitely 5 star's as I know the people who work there and they have helped me out big time almost 10yrs ago when I was homeless n a mess etc, I went to see my very good friend Pete-(who's the manger) as I needed help with my life and he said that he would get me a place in a Rehabilitation Centre in Nottingham and with in a few days he drove me all the way to Nottingham where I spent 12 months getting my life back on track and without his help I don't know what would of happened to me so the work that they do at this centre is excellent as they help the homeless people in feeding them as well as helping to put clothes on their back by selling stuff in a shop across the road from the centre, so if you ever get 10mins spare then drop into the centre yourself n see the difference they make.

The staff and volunteers at the matthew 25 mission are the kindest most generous people. They're always their for the needy and vulnerable. Whether it be for help and support or just for a chat they are always there.

We had a very large Christmas donation bags stuff to give and got help from people in there taking it in ,,and from what we see they do a fantastic job helping the homeless and people in need
