Fantastic function room and staff. We hosted my mums 60th birthday here at the weekend and were delighted with every aspect. Communication was great during the viewing/booking process, no request was too much. Unlike a lot of other places we were allowed to supply our own buffet and decorate the venue as we wished. The party was on the evening but we were allowed in all day to set up. The bar area is lovely and raised away from the dance floor that had a stage big enough for the dj that we booked. The bar staff were fantastic, worked really hard all night whilst also having a laugh and a chat with us all. I highly recommend this venue and I don’t feel the pictures online do it justice. We will be hiring the hall again for the next big birthday. Thank you to Fran and team for a great party.

We visited The Spirit of the UNI Northern Soul Night last night! It's only 41 minutes drive from Weymouth if you're on holiday 🏖

Firstly, the venue is pretty big with plenty of room to make some shapes on the dance floor. The bar was exceptionally cheap too. Lots of places to sit at tables and plenty of chairs.

Secondly, the event was cracking, the flow of the tracks was awesome and each DJ brought a different vibe to the evening. Being on the funkier side of soul, even I was catered for 😘

There were some incredible dancers at this event, if you want to see some pretty amazing moves, I can't recommend this place enough. The people we met were acceptionally friendly and had some great stories to share.

Excellent venue.
We hired the hall for a 60th birthday party, on the day i was able to access the hall early to decorate and set up.
On the night the bar staff were fantastic
we had a great time

What can we say, a fantastic team! We came to Newtown asking for urgent help seeking a reception venue, as our venue at the time had let us down 4 weeks prior to our wedding! Fran, was fantastic, kind and compassionate and helped us straight away! Her team behind the bar on the day were professional and had a great sense of humour. Our evening turned out to be beyond amazing and everything came together smoothly! The tables and chairs were laid out beautifully using the table cloths the club had provided. The communication between us as a couple, to Fran and the members of staff was spot on! Thank you once again for helping our day and evening to become special and one to remember! Highly recommended.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Newtown Conservative club on 19/08/23.
The hall look absolutely beautiful and was exactly what we asked for.
Fran was amazing answering any questions we had prior to the day.
Her bar staff on the night were lovely and very friendly.
I highly recommend the Newtown Conservative club, for any kind of gathering.
