We hired the ockment centre for a party. We were amazing at how easy it was to book no upfront fees and very relaxed. Was nice to take the stress out of party planning and also on the day they were very friendly and trusting they set the tables out for us which was nice. It was very clean and plenty of supplies like cups and saucers and cutlery etc

The ladies that work there are extremely happy and nice people, they are always very helpful and accommodating, they help the less fortunate with free food from the community fridge and have very cheap clothes, books etc for sale.
Very very good place and beautiful people,
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Nice community space. I attended for a writing course which was excellent, and found a cookbook stand, community fridge and other fundraising ideas.

Limited parking, but you can park in the Waitrose carpark and cross the river via the bridge

What a great place to hold meetings, parties and events! The staff are so helpful- nothing is too much bother. The rooms are very reasonable and they will cater for your function at a price you can afford. Try the Centre first when you need space for hire in Okehampton.
