Open door is a fantastic community cafe. Much more than a cafe. You can go for support, a chat, a brew. Counselling, advice on finances and debt and much more. They have helped so many people in times of crisis and people who are at a low point. Please visit this cafe. You will receive a warm welcome every time.

This is a great place, a hidden gem, for years I thought open Door was just a furniture place for those who needed it, but I was introduced to a group they held for mental health and wellbeing, it open my eyes to much more. The staff & volunteers are wonderful and caring. I've met new friends and now I attend the crafty group too. The food in the cafe is cheap, you can get hot or cold sandwiches to a curry & rice, mince, onion & mash, and a few other dishes of the day/week all £3 and under, everything is home made on site, and best of all children can eat for free. There are people there to help with benefits/housing issues, and there are also mental health councillors. They can also help point you in the direction of other local organisations. They've helped me a great deal. Open Door is a great place for everyone, whether it's for help or just a cuppa in the café.

Really good food and meals are cheap, I only had to pay £2.50 for my main meal of pie, potatoes and vegetables.
It was only £1 for sponge and custard, also a cup of tea was only 50p

The volunteers and the staff were very helpful to me after I suffered a leak at home. They let me use their facilities and I have had a food parcel from them whenever I have needed to have one. Thanks very much for all of the work that you do xx
