The Oswestry Mens Shed has been set up to provide (primarily) men with a dedicated space where they can make things, socialise, share skills or just enjoy a cup of tea. “Men in Sheds” as an organisation started many years ago in Australia and now this is available in the UK.

I joined 6 months ago, initially looking for access to a workshop for my DIY. Since then I have found the social aspects of the shed more important than the workshop, something I was unaware of the need for. I can strongly recommend this for others, if interested, why not call in for a cuppa tea. The tea would be free as would the company, and who knows, you may even choose to join.
