We've visited The Pleasaunce multiple times over many years and it never fails to delight with it's charms. A Christian holiday home with catered and self catering accommodation and a wonderful peaceful atmosphere. The staff are very considerate and friendly and the facilities are comfortable. The local area has plenty to do and Overstrand beach is very sandy for families. You don't need to go far for entertainment and activities.
We will definitely be back for many years I hope.

The listed building is showing its age in several ares but with a really interesting back story and spacious grounds right next to the sea, so our week here for our Christian Conference was thoroughly enjoyable. The team were extremely kind and helpful and the food really nice and plentiful. The chef was particularly good with dealing with my wife's DF and GF intolerance's preparing alternative dishes throughout the week with great care and attention, so thank you all so very much.

The Pleasaunce is unique. We have spent a fabulous, faith filled holiday in glorious surroundings. The leaders, Jackie and Dave, really went over and above to provide a fabulous programme for all ages. The beach is just over the road and there are plenty of places to visit. Our en-suite room was clean and comfortable and the food was delicious. Lots of space in the house and the grounds to find some time alone but equally there's lots of fellowship to be had with other guests. We will definitely visit again. The staff and volunteers should be very proud of themselves.

We have been visiting The Pleasaunce in Overstrand as a family for around 40 years and it never fails to delight. |Wonderful atmosphere, peaceful and welcoming. |We’ve stayed in the house over the years but in the last couple of years have been coming to the self catering annexes which are very comfortable. |Right near the sandy beach in the lovely and timeless village of Overstrand. |We hope to be coming back for many years yet !

I visited Pleasaunce this month with my son, when it had just reopened following relaxation of the Covid Lockdown Regulations. The house was spotless and every precaution had been taken to protect guests; there was sanitiser everywhere. The staff could not have been more helpful and the food was excellent. The house is a listed building so we were not expecting some of the niceties found in some modern hotels, and my rating is on that basis. That said, we were very comfortable and being a Christian hotel there was a special friendly atmosphere. The situation is wonderful, just a short walk down the drive and one is on the clifftop.||Definitely a place I will be revisiting.

This is a lovely old building in spacious grounds right on the clifftop. OK, you do not get the plushness from more modern hotels but it is a delightful place to stay. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The food is great and there is evening tea and the chance to relax in a spacious lounge with other residents. There is loads to do in the area.

I visited not long ago to find my room in an unfortunate state. The window couldn't close properly, the room was small in itself with hardly any movement to stay in (especially for 2 people). The bathroom is found in a closet type room, not particularly any privacy or borders between the un-suite and bedroom. The room itself has bland decorations and outdated traditional paintings, The only form of entertainment I found was a Bible (I'm not particularly religious.) There wasn't even a television. So obviously, bring my phone, oh wait the signal is terrible. But luckily, free wifi is provided. The food was very basic and not tasty at all, makes it feel like a school canteen. The whole vibe seemed traditional and almost prison-like. Won't be staying again.

Fantastic management and lovely volunteers at this friendly Christain holiday place. Good vegetarian options and fresh fruits available at meals. The bedrooms are super clean and the beds comfortable. WiFi is pretty good. Such a nice little amble down to the water front.
