Cramped but has a wide range of goods.
Staff weren't overly friendly but not rude either. However, a smile would have been nice!

It's a big range, they do have a good variety of products as to be expected from a range.
There is a public toilet there, which is a great bonus, however they are clean but there was no toilet roll which is slightly grim, so definitely they need more checks to check they are well stocked.
Otherwise the store itself is nice enough, when it came to checking out the staff were too busy chatting to each other instead of wanting to serve, but they had the product I wanted, large car park.

I visited the store on Thursday 20th February as I was paying the computer froze as I swiped my card so I was moved to another checkout. Both payments were taken but when I returned to request a refund the manager refused to reimburse me. He and a male colleague were extremely rude. The female assistants tried to be helpful. Terrible experience altogether

I popped in last week to return a picture frame. I stood at customer services where there were two members of staff behind the counter. They were not serving anyone else but neither would make eye contact with me, after a minute of being ignored I asked 'am I in the right place for refunds etc.? The lady who was sat down on the computer barked back 'I'm busy!' I replied with 'I don't mind waiting as long as I'm in the right place'. Eventually, she took my receipt and examined it and told me I couldn't have a refund as it was outside the returns period. I accept this, but then I was then almost dismissed, no credit note? What were my options? I left, appalled by the level of rudeness.

A few thoughts: Maybe it should be called 'Customer Disservice' if you're going to offer an approach akin to Karen's Diners? If you are too busy to actually serve customers then why not retreat to an office somewhere, why raise people's hopes? A comment like 'I won't keep you a moment, sir' rather than pretending I'm the invisible man? Just ignoring people won't necessarily make them go away. I appreciate the lead up to Christmas is a busy time for you all, but a little manners goes a long way.

By the way, I have to give one star to get this posted, my preference would be none at all.

Watch out for returns.
I tried to return a blind I had not even opened believing it would be the standard 30day return only to find out that there policy is 14 days.
Slight head ache as don’t live close to store.
Won’t be heading back anytime soon.
Manager could have dealt with it better and exchange would have been a better option than no can do ☹️😫

Went into The Range in Babbacombe for some bedding for house guests and stumbled upon their lovely wee cafe upstairs. The Costa coffee and sausage roll was to die for. Mark in the cafe was efficient, polite and super funny. Thanks for the laughs and the excellent service Mark! 🙏♥️ Keep up the excellent work. Loads of parking and the prices are brilliant in here. I’m hooked! Tonnes of amazing bargains for the garden in here too!

After paying by card for our items at The Range in Torquay today, we checked our receipt on leaving the store. We found we had been charged for an item for £5.99, which wasn't in our basket. The cashier wasn't rushed - the store was nearly empty and her counter was clear - and it is very difficult to understand how this could have happened by accident. The cashier refunded the non-existent item when challenged, but HOW did this happen? Check your receipts carefully before leaving. We are reporting the store to Trading Standards.

The store looked untidy, some empty shelves and lots of things unpriced... In fact so many things that I gave up. Couldn't see any staff round to ask the price of things. Unfortunately it feels l like the store has gone downhill since my last visit. There is a poor attention to detail on display of goods. A shame.
