I visited this shop twice to research buying a new pair of binoculars. The first occasion was pre covid and lock down my wife and I wanted to get an idea of costs the idea being that my family could buy them for me as a present for what is (apparently) a significant milestone birthday.

The knowledge of the staff was fantastic and they have an extensive range of binoculars and optics to choose from no matter what your budget. The volunteer who helped us could not have done any more and provided all the information I needed and offered advice tailored to my requirements. So good was the experience I spoke with the manager and resolved to buy my binoculars from them once my wife had collected all the contributions.

Fast forward to the 31st of July, we returned to the shop and once again the staff could not have been more helpful. We were offered further advice and options to fit the budget available. The upshot being I left with a shiny new pair of binoculars. Given we visited under the covid restrictions what could have been a very stressful experience was a real pleasure. The staff are so enthusiastic and clearly enjoy helping people to choose the binoculars/optics that suit their needs.

I cannot recommend RSPB shop at Dart's Farm highly enough and if you are looking for binoculars or optics I suggest you buy nothing until you have visited this shop.

A friend of mine knew I was in the market for a new pair of binoculars and suggested I go to go to the RSPB shop at Darts Farm. I dully went to the RSPB shop today. I went with the view of looking at purchasing some new binoculars. The gentleman that served me was very professional and covid19 precautions were taken very seriously.
I looked at various binoculars and decided which pair I would purchase, after trying different sizes and priced binoculars. There was no pressure from the sales person, he just explained everything to me and was very professional.
I can not recommend this RSPB shop enough.

Fantastic shop, very knowledgeable staff, fantastic range of binoculars and optics, wuth a viewing platform, overlooking the stunning Bowling Green Marsh. Superb range of bird food, and accessories too, great it is open at last, my garden birds cannot get enough the RSPB Buggy nibbles

If you're struggling for a gift idea for someone who has everything, you might find something a bit different here .. there is a huge range of bird houses, feeders etc as well as books, ornaments .. lots of choice for bird lovers of all ages.

For binoculars, the assistant Sam was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. You can try them outside which is very useful. Definitely recommend
