Naomi does whatever she can to help people. And if she can’t help, she finds someone who can! This church caters very well for children, It’s very child friendly. I do think they need to adjust their very loud services to be more inclusive to autistic people who have sensory issues. We got a taxi to the Easter service and when the lead singer was was singing so loud with a loud microphone and the speakers were of a high volume I was told I could go and sit in the other (quieter) room. While my children could stay in the loud room. This didn’t feel very inclusive . I think they need to do some more training on nurodiversity to make their services more inclusive for people with sensory issues. The microphone really didn’t NEED to be so loud and had it of been turned down slightly and nobody would have moaned. I even hear a young child around the age of 4 say “it’s too loud” . My son went to sit outside the hall on the very loud bits in order to cope with the excessive loudness which really doesn’t feel very inclusive to our family. The church are of the opinion that the people with sensory issues should leave the room if they are struggling when it’s excessively loud for them rather than them turn the microphone down!! This is where neurodiverse training needs to be revisited .They don’t want to adjust their microphones and speakers volume, they suggest we leave the room instead! I’ve knocked two stars off for this reason .

This Salvation Army unit helped me a lot when my wallet with money and documents was lost. For a few days, I was given lunch and food, thanks to which I was able to go to work at night. Very nice and professional people. Helpful as they can. They are amazing. WAY TO GO.

I had recently become homeless in Blackpool and I come here during the week for a warm meal. They also provide you with helpful support staff, showering facilities and laundry service. You can't fault these people bend over backwards for the people who come here for different reasons.

I've attended twice this month as I've had No food or money due to the way UC payment system operates. The food is good well done chefs. Most of the staff are good some of the staff could do with a customer service training. .

An update on one occasion I visited the salvation army for a hot meal i was told that i was have to manage my money? I'm in receipt of universal credit after rent electric council tax food I'm usually out of money. I've offered to help as a volunteer I'm a experienced multi skills operative who as volunteer at Oxfam Cleveleys 7days a week. I'm now volunteer at Claremont Community centre serving meals to old people. The reason I was given that i was have registered at the salvation army
I care about people who are worse off than me embarrassed to attend the meal as there's people sleeping on the streets. I suffer from Anxiety and depression. Helping people helps me address this,to see a smile talking about the old days in Blackpool help me too.
