The person I spoke to on the phone had such a calming, soft voice. I was able to relax and calm down from feeling very upset.
I was able to speak about my love of writing and things that I enjoy to keep me calm without feeling like I was being judged or laughed at for the things I did.
Overall, my experience is wonderful. I feel like I can sleep well and without any upset because I've spoken through my instability. Amazing people and absolutely magnificent staff.

Be very careful when using this service . A lot more people are tempted to phone especially with the COVID pandemic , a lot of us are suffering in different ways and probably finding ourselves more isolated . The Samaritans can actually make you feel worse , their phone lines have reception issues fair enough but that could be a reason for people needing to phone back , or maybe you don't hit it off with a volunteer and phone back to speak to someone else .
Ultimately every time I've phoned they told me to call back anytime I feel like it and use it as many times as it is helpful , in confidence they also told me again and again they never track or trace calls .
However I got a bar on my phone because due to a stressful period of life I have been using them frequently but I don't think it was excessive . I'm now told to phone caller support risk having my anonymity shattered and possibly my call details put to me like I'm on trial . The fact that their systems clocked my witheld number makes a mockery of their lie .
