What a lovely little place. Friendly staff and amazing food. Good prices and fast service. Staff are so warm and welcoming and was with my friend and her two little ones and they made the kids feel comfortable and welcome and made them smile. Also made up the kids lunches into little boxes for them. So glad we stumbled on this place on our holidays. Thank you so much.

I'm not entirely sure why this place has such a high rating to be honest. Is nice enough, and the service is good, but you don't get your typical afternoon tea experience. You essentially get a sandwich, a piece of cake and a scone. The sandwich is basic enough and fresh, the scone not so much, and very dense. Their tea selection is also basic..

Perfect place for a birthday cream tea for our family group. Lovely fresh scones. Big pots of tea. Good vegan cake.
They were kind enough to stay open late when a couple of us got held up in traffic.

I don't live locally but I wanted a gift for my Aunt who lives in the area. I messaged the owner and was immediately messaged back and all was sorted with a lovely voucher specially produced for afternoon tea for 2. Not only that but the voucher was hand delivered - excellent service! I love Cockington and I look forward to visiting myself when I am next visiting the area. thank you so much. 🙂

A super afternoon tea at The School House Tearoom in the middle of Cockington. Sat in the gardens overlooking the thatched buildings in the centre of this charming village. Terrific spread of scones,jam and cream with sandwiches and cakes of choice and a large pot of Earl Grey tea at a great price! Michael and Angela are perfect hosts! David
