A wonderful and quite atmospheric pub with a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Although sometimes it can be very noisy. Well, in general, a good small pub that you can visit periodically.

From the outside it does not do the club justice .inside it is very high standard of decor and technical items for screens ,etc .the bar has a good choice of beers and spirits .the staff are friendly and efficient. There is a reasonable free car park opposite the main entrance .we'll worth a visit.

This is a down to earth working man’s club. I took my 86 year old Dad for some live entertainment and a few games of bingo on a Sunday night. I was perplexed because for the number of people in the club the prize money is unfeasibly good. Hundreds of pounds were dished out.
They are lovely people and made me n Dad very welcome. They also brought round free parched peas.
Overall we spent a tenner each on Bingo and raffle tickets and footy card open the box etc.
A decent night out. 👍

Firstly my rating is only due to my circumstance. So good first:
Arriving to the club on crutches I found all guests and members to be friendly, doors were opened and I was treated patiently. The friendliness was key and the doorstaff & barstaff were all superb.
Reluctantly there was some bad: the DJ on this occasion was disrespectful (there were several elderly customers) to people who couldn't see in the previous relative darkness. He was also racist which there is no excuse for, comedy shouldn't include racist interludes. Finally the DJ was also acting in an uncomfortably sexist and misogynist manner, insisting that winners kiss him (at least o e girl was trying to push him away with some force)
I do believe that myself and my friends were not the target audience for this function. We naively are not aware what Bongo Bingo is. If we knew we probably wouldn't have gone. If we knew the DJ was going to be racist and sexist and drunk then again we wouldn't have gone.
The. Club successly runs Slimming World groups, weekly bingo and many other functions. There is nothing wrong with the club nor it's staff, I'm afraid it isn't somewhere we are likely to go again. But don't let me put you off. Loads of people clearly had a brilliant time.
