What an amazing place. My mum died after only four days, but her every need and comfort was met. I was allowed to sleep at her bedside overnight...and cared for too. Staff attended immediately at the press of a buzzer and even the soft bedspread and flowers made the inevitable more gentle. Staff spoke graciously and were so supportive.

This is what care really is, attentive staff with compassion. Immaculately clean and quiet. Treatment was first class and time to help the family as well as the patient. Thank you.

At the age of 20, when my mum diagnosed with terminal cancer, I wasn’t mature enough to accept and come to terms with this, but I wasn’t young enough for people to see that I would naturally need help and support. The Wisdom Hospice team saw how vulnerable I was, explained how the hospice can help in life and death and made sure that the hospice felt like a home for my mum, dad and all our family. Mum loved the Monday Club, a day out with new friends where she could laugh and feel comfortable in her own skin and this helped to make her journey so much easier. The love, care and support we all felt, in a time of despair, gave us peace. Thank you.

Terrible communication between staff and patients/relatives. Found it hard to get the correct information from staff and had to keep phoning as messages were not passed on. They didn't listen to our thoughts and were only interested in finding out where my husband wanted to die they pushed him to say the hospice and would only offer him morphine to relieve his pain even though he said it was not working well. Continued to ignore my concerns and only gave us information after his condition worsened. If you have to use this place make sure you question everything!
